Horspath Hammers re-wrote the club’s record books after winning the British Veteran Team Championship for the first time.
They held off the challenge of Poole, East London and Wednesfield to lift the trophy in front of a large crowd at the village.
A tough semi-final saw pre-meeting favourites Leicester knocked out by Horspath and East London.
In the final, Hammers came from behind to take victory.
Steve Harris and Mike Burgess dropped just one point each, with great support from skipper Ian Lawrence with both Paul Gibbs and Mark Janes scoring well from their two outings.
