Oxford Cheetahs take on Belle Vue Aces in an Elite League clash at Kirkmanshulme Lane tonight (7.30), still looking for their first away win this season.
Seven trips have failed to produce any points and it looks just as difficult tonight, especially coming up against Saturday's European Grand Prix winner Jason Crump, who is almost unbeatable at Kirky Lane.
The Aces have a good home record, although they just lost out to Coventry in the Elite League Shield last week, and with Kenneth Bjerre, Joe Screen and Simon Stead to give the main support to Crump, it will be a tough task for the Sandy Lane outfit.
Tom P Madsen, a former reserve for Oxford Silver Machine, lines up at No 7.
Cheetahs are starting to improve, and a good performance here will give them plenty of confidence as they try and capture their first bonus point of the season in the return clash at Oxford Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The reserves, Lubos Tomicek and Eric Andersson, hold the key if the main body of the team ride to their averages.
Belle Vue: Bjerre, Screen, Stead, Wright, Crump, Morris, Madsen.
Oxford: Wiltshire, Watt, Skornicki, Eriksson, Howe, Andersson, Tomicek.
