New Club moved three points clear at the top of Division 1 of the Oxford & District League, with a 2-1 success against Eynsham – their sixth successive victory.

With only two league matches to go, they are favourites to win the title, with Riley A second on 31 points and Ashton (30) third.

Alan Mander(+60) got New Club off to a flying start against Mick McCluskey (+90) of Eynsham 150-76. Dave White (+80) made it 2-0 when he beat Geoff Watson(+100) 150-116. But Roy Gascoyne(+110) salvaged a point when he surprised Alan King(+10) 200 - 134.

RESULTS Riley B 1, HCC A 2; CCC B 2, Ashton 1; Tham3; New Club 2, Eynsham 1.
