Oxfordshire Over 60s have reached the Veterans Inter-County League’s national finals.

Having beaten Berkshire and Buckinghamshire twice, Middlesex once and drawing with and losing to Warwickshire, Oxon needed a win to top the Midlands section.

Away to Middlesex, it was 5-5 with two mixed doubles left, but victories from Judy McCairns and Pete Falle plus Andi Padbury with Pat Edgington, who won 21-19 in the third set, sealed it.
