Oxford Harlequins director of rugby John Brodley admitted there were few positives from their defeat to Weston-super-Mare.
Brodley said: “It was one of those games you find it difficult to take anything out of.
“At least we outscored them three tries to two.
“I thought our second try was a lovely execution from Martin Nutt and we had been pressurising very well.
“At 19-7, we were looking good. We then missed a very easy penalty in front of the posts and after that we stopped playing.
“We didn’t really win any ball. What ball we did win, the backs seemed to lack any ideas, where before they had been so incisive.
“We were on the back foot, gave penalties away, and their fly half did the rest.
“The scrummage was really poor and Weston dominated us up front.”
