Defending ladies champions Nuffield Bar went down 5-4 at home to main rivals Florence Park Community Centre A in Premier & Section 1 of the Greene King Oxford & District Darts Association.

Rachel Stockwell beat Tina Hamilton to give Nuffield Bar the first leg, only for Michelle Ewins and Natalie Creed to put Florence Park ahead.

Kim Ledbury saw off Jo Gleed to level it up, before Florence Park edged ahead again when Clare Bywaters (180) beat Pat Newman.

Cindy Chalmers defeated Kate Hilsdon to make it 3-3, but Florence Park took the pairs 2-1 to claim victory.

Cricketers Arms avenged the previous week’s 8-1 home drubbing by Cowley Workers with an exciting 5-4 away win in men’s Section 2.

Carl Edgington beat Des Slezak to give Cricketers the first leg. But Keith Dickenson, Bob Freemire and Phil Cook (180) reeled off the next three legs for Cowley Workers.

However, Dylan Davies and Dave Hopkins (180) levelled the match, and a 2-1 win in the pairs saw Cricketers snatch victory.

Chequers A won 7-2 at Rose Hill Community Centre A.

Richard Reveley, Terry Woods and Trevor Ballard were among the singles winners for Chequers, who also took the pairs 3-0.

Steve Pladdys and Jason Taylor won their singles matches for Chequers.
