Horspath beat Shrivenham by virtue of losing fewer wickets after they finished on level scores in an amazing finish to their Oxfordshire Under 17 Club Championship semi-final.
Chasing the home side’s 129-5 off 20 overs, Shrivenham arrived at the last over on 122-4 – although seven would have been enough to see them through without any further loss.
But then in an astonishing first three balls, three batsmen were run out attempting to secure second runs by superb throws from the deep by Ben Henderson and Greg Handley (twice).
Shrivenham scored a single and then a two off the next two balls to leave them needing two to win off the last delivery.
But they were the only able to scamper a bye to bring the scores level, and Horspath went through by virtue of losing fewer wickets.
Earlier, Tom Price (40) and Dan McNiff (30) had led the way for Horspath after they had been put in to bat, while Alex Kill (41) top-scored for Shrivenham.
Now Horspath will entertain Great & Little Tew, who were given a walkover by East Oxford, in the final next Sunday (10am).
