Ben Barker and Lubos Tomicek will complete the Oxford Cheetahs team for the four team tournament at Swindon on Thursday, July 30, writes ROB PEASLEY.
They join the previously announced Niels-Kristian Iversen and Adam Skornicki in a mouthwatering Oxford team.
The one-off challenge match will mark the first occasion that the homeless Cheetahs have competed at the top level since 2007.
The meeting also features teams from hosts Swindon, plus two other clubs without a home base, Reading and Cradley Heath.
Barker, 21, is one of England’s hottest young prospects. He started his career by spending three seasons in Oxford’s Conference League side between 2003 and 2005, helping Oxford Academy to the title in 2005.
Since then his career has flourished and he now rides for Elite League side Coventry.
Tomicek is a third generation speedway rider from the Czech Republic and rode on-and-off for the Cheetahs between 2003 and 2007, during which time he developed greatly as a rider.
He has ridden in five Grand Prix rounds and helped Lakeside to second place in the Elite League last season.
Meeting organiser Gary Patchett said: “We have chosen four riders who were all crowd favourites while they were riding at Oxford.
“I hope that the Cheetahs fans show up in force.”
