Oxford University 62, RAF 3
Oxford University’s flying wingers Will Browne and Sean Morris downed the RAF with a hat-trick of tries apiece in a very one-sided match last night.
The pacy pair ripped the visitors’ defence to shreds, while the Dark Blues totally dominated the scrums in this ten-try demolition.
Browne created the first try for supporting hooker Dan Rosen on six minutes, but the RAF held their own for the first quarter despite having centre Timothy Price sin-binned.
Morris was superbly set up by flanker Alex Cheeseman for his opener on 30 minutes, with full back Ali Walker kicking the first of six conversions.
Browne and Morris struck again in quick succession, while fly half Jason Balham replied with a 40th-minute penalty after Oxford lock Nic Van Zyl was yellow-carded.
The floodgates really opened in the second half, with No 8 Chris Davies notching try No 5 after a charge down.
Morris completed his treble by finishing a move, which began in his own 22, and Browne sliced through to make it 45-3.
Browne’s hat-trick was next with another lightning break, before replacement flanker Dave Fenlon and centre Jon Burnett got in on the act against very poor opponents.
