RENAULT drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz, are eyeing more points in tomorrow’s Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring.

With teams forbidden to operate for a fortnight in August, Hulkenberg, who finished fifth in Germany last week, is confident of a strong result for the Enstone-based team, heading into the shutdown.

He said: “I’m looking forward to this weekend, it’s the final push before the summer break.

“The track layout here should suit our car and packageso hopefully we can have a strong result. I have a good feeling.”

The Banbury-prepared Haas team are 21 points behind Renault and driver Romain Grosjean expects a testing race.

He said: “We’ll see what we can do there, but it’s a grand prix I love. “I always love going to Budapest but, definitely, it’s a challenging one.”

Grove-based Williams will be desperate for a morale-boosting result after struggling so far this season.

Lance Stroll scored their only points in Azerbaijan in April, leaving them bottom of the standings.

Sergey Sirotkin is optimistic of a strong performance.

He said: “It will be a good challenge for us to see how all the upgrades are working in the lead-up to the summer break.”
