CHEQUERS were celebrating after beating Florence Park 3-2 in the Oxford City FA’s Junior League Cup final.
Martino Ventriglia and Delroy Constant gave Chequers a 2-0 lead, before Park’s Ryan Young pulled a goal back before half-time.
Otis Woodwood restored Chequers’ two-goal lead, but Joel Meade’s low shot through a crowded area ensured a frantic finish, before skipper Toby Webster capped a great personal performance by lifting the historic trophy.
In the league, Great Milton won 7-2 away to Headington Butchers with goals from Henry Horton (4), Ryan Hicks (2) and Jasha Imhof.
Will Coles bagged a brace for Butchers.
Alex Kerry scored twice – once from the penalty spot – as Dorchester won 2-0 at home to South Park.
Union Street came from behind to win 2-1 away to Masons Arms.
Jordan Veale put Masons ahead, but Street snatched victory with two goals in the lastfive minutes.
In midweek, Masons Arms won 3-0 at home to South Park, thanks to Ellis Horwood’s hat-trick.
