KIDLINGTON Green Social Club clinched their third successive Cowley Workers ODDA men’s league championship with a 7-2 victory away to Prince of Wales.

The Premier Section kings extended their unbeaten run to an astonishing 42 matches when they proved too strong for the Section 1 runners-up.

West Oxford Democrats Club lifted the Section 1 title after 7-2 win over visiting Kidlington Football Club.

Section 3 leaders Cricketers Arms A suffered a surprise 6-3 defeat at Bullnose Morris, leaving them five points clear with one game to play.

The hosts raced into a 3-0 lead, thanks to wins from James Harding and Brian Clarke and Mark Wheeler

Cricketers hit back to trail 3-2 thanks to Sam Payne and John Goodenough.

But a fine victory from Gary Shorter made it 4-2, which they extended to 6-3 in the pairs.

Unbeaten Donnington Community Centre B are the Section 6 champions with two games to play.

The battle for the Ladies’ Section 2 title will go down to the wire after leaders Donnington Community Centre B lost 5-4 at Berinsfield CC.
