OXFORD Saints’ women’s team will be fighting for the Sapphire’s 2B Championship at Tilsley Park, Abingdon, on Saturday.
The hosts are expected to face some tough competition, but are one of the favourites after a 3-1 winning record this season.
Formed only two years ago, Saints have quickly become a strong a fighting force in the Sapphire League, with high ambitions.
Head coach Adam Baker says: “I know that if we make the final, it is going to be a test for us, but we can bring another championship home to Oxfordshire.”
This tournament is a five-a-side format with full contact.
Saints open against Peterborough Royals at 3pm, with the winners meeting Kent or Staffordshire in the final.
