THAME United stretched their unbeaten run to six games in the Evo-Stik South League East Division with a 4-0 win over Fleet Town.

Mark West’s side shared the goals around in the encounter, with James McGowan, Luke Ricketts, Lynton Goss and Dan West netting.

Thame started brightly, forcing a number of corners, the fifth of which leading to their opener on nine minutes.

Goss’s delivery found McGowan at the back post, who powerfully headed past goalkeeper Liam Beach.

It did not take long for the hosts to make it 2-0 as Ricketts fired into the roof of the net on 16 minutes.

Fleet went close when goalkeeper Craig Hill was forced to keep out Matt Bunyan’s long-range effor.t

But Thame made it 3-0 on the brink of half time as Goss latched on to a West pass and slid the ball under Beach.

Goss twice forced the keeper into saves after the break.

Ben Sturgess then twice went close within a matter of seconds, firstly heading a corner against the bar, before the ball was crossed back in and he volleyed just wide.

But the fourth arrived on 63 minutes as West headed past Beach from a Goss corner.

McGowan was denied twice and Adam Morris hit a post as Thame ran out comfortable winners.

Didcot Town endured a disappointing day as they lost 2-0 ay lowly Mangotsfield United in the West Division.

The defeat ended the Railwaymen’s five-match unbeaten run.

Seth Humphries and George Reid went close early on for Didcot, before Felipe Barcelos and George Jeacock failed to hit the target.

Mangotsfield took the lead five minutes after the break as Jordan Ricketts tapped in following a defensive error.

Didcot lost momentum, while the hosts grew in confidence.

And Kane Simpson fired home with ten minutes remaining for Mangotsfield.

It only got worse for Didcot as Jeacock was shown a straight red card late on.
