OXFORDSHIRE’S juniors continued their rich vein of form with nine gold medals and one silver at Badminton England tournaments.

Pride of place went to Ben Horseman (Chesterton), who won two golds at the Under 13 Gold Star event in Cheltenham.

Horseman beat Dan Fulbrook (Dorset) 21-12, 21-18 in the singles, before teaming up with Dillon Chong (Berkshire) to win the doubles.

Charlie Driver (Minster Lovell) picked up three golds at the West Midlands Under 17 Bronze event in Birmingham in the singles, double and mixed, where he partnered Maddy Cook (Eynsham).

Albie Marriott (Didcot) also collected two golds in the Cheltenham Under 15 bronze tournament in the doubles and mixed, the latter with Holly Craig (Sutton Courtenay).

At the same tournament, Harry Jones picked up Oxfordshire’s tenth medal, a silver in the boys’ singles.

In two friendly fixtures, Oxfordshire’s under 12/14 side lost 16-4 to Hampshire, with the under 18 squad coming second in a triangular match against Surrey and Hampshire.
