DIDCOT Town manager Andy Ballard has praised his side for showing maturity beyond their years ahead of tomorrow’s Evo-Stik South League West Division trip to Paulton Rovers.

The Railwaymen scored twice in injury time to beat Barnstaple last week, with their boss giving Marlon Agyakwa and Felipe Barcelos special praise.

Ballard said: “Barnstaple made it extremely difficult.

“I made a substitution to bring Marlon on and he had a massive impact and was a major catalyst in us winning.

“That along with Felipe, who scored another two goals. That’s two weeks in a row that my young side has shown great character and a battling spirit.”

“It’s not something that can be coached, it comes from each and every player pulling their weight and wanting to do well.”

Didcot visit struggling Paulton tomorrow still without injured trio Sam Barder, Callum McNish and Stuart Cattell.

Michael Alexis faces a late fitness test, but Matty Woodley returns from injury.

North Leigh will bid to make it four wins in a row when they travel to Larkhall Athletic.

Boss John Brough has made another new signing with the capture of midfielder Lorcan Sheehan from Evesham United.

“We’re not where I’d like us to be in terms of position, but the points are very close,” he said.

“Lorcan is a player I tried to get last season.”

Sean Wood is suspended, but Josh Thomas and Ryan Paddock return.

Kidlington travel to Mangotsfield United with Ross McMahon back in the squad.
