OXFORD University ramp up their preparations for the Varsity Match today with their annual fixture against a Major Stanley’s XV at Iffley Road (3.30).

The students name eight Blues in their squad to face the representative side.

Among the new faces in the line-up is former Heineken Cup winner Dom Waldouck.

The 30-year-old, who has yet to feature for the Dark Blues due to injury, signed a contract with Newcastle Falcons in the summer allowing him to study at Oxford and play for 12 weeks.

Waldouck starts alongside Canada international Dan Moor as the students target an eighth win in nine fixtures this season.

Today’s opponents include a number of players from Oxfordshire clubs Henley Hawks, Banbury and Oxford Harlequins.
