DIDCOT Town were denied a victory when Shortwood United scored a late goal to secure a 1-1 draw in their Evo-Stik South League game at the Loop Meadow Stadium.

In their previous week’s West Division encounters, these two teams had conceded 15 goals, but this always looked like being a low-scoring affair.

After Shortwood hit the woodwork early on, Didcot had most of the play.

The Railwaymen were rewarded in the 57th minute when after a corner was recycled superbly into the box by Callum McNish, Adam Learoyd headed home.

Didcot missed missed further chances and were made to pay in the 90th minute when Joe White netted the equaliser.

Didcot Tn: Bedwell, Jeacock (Lamptey), McNeill, Elkins, Hayden, Learoyd, Humphries (Barder), McNish, Joyce (Reid), Pin, Woodley. Subs not used: Parish, Ballard.

Two goals in the last ten minutes gave North Leigh a 2-0 victory at Slimbridge.

George Seacole put the Millers ahead in the 84th minute, before Michael Hopkins sealed the result with a penalty in the second minute of injury time.

A brace by Lynton Goss could not prevent Thame United losing 3-2 at home to Moneyfields in the East Division.

Goss equalised after the visitors had taken an early lead.

But Moneyfields led 3-1 at half-time, before Goss scored a penalty in the first minute of the second half.
