FARINGDON’S William Fletcher finished joint first in the Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier at the Bicton Arena, East Devon.
With only three clear runs posted in the first round, Fletcher, Gail Burchmore and Emily Rowe decided to share the spoils.
The Oxfordshire star, riding Graham Fletcher’s 11 year-old brown gelding, Persimmon, recorded the quickest time of the day.
He will now compete in the final at the Horse of the Year Show from October 4-8.
