CHINNOR’S director of rugby Matt Williams has criticised his side for lacking a killer instinct in their National 2 South win over Henley Hawks.

After watching his side secure a 39-20 victory, Williams said: “We should have won by a lot more.

“The result was beyond doubt with 20 minutes to go, but we took our foot off the gas.

“We need to be tougher mentally and should have moved further out of reach.”

Williams makes one change behind the scrum for tomorrow’s match away to London Irish Wild Geese, with winger Henry Lamont replacing Phil Chesters, who was injured against Henley.

George Oliver comes in at hooker, Ben Manning moves from the back row to lock, with Harry Casson, on loan from Ealing, coming in as flanker.

Meanwhile, England Under 20 tight head prop Joe Morris, from Worcester, is named on the bench.

Unavailability has hit Henley, with head coach Pete Davies forced into seven changes for their home clash against Cinderford.

Jim Hadfield, Brad Cook and Tom Hall start in the pack.

George Jackson moves to full back, switching with Joe Butler, who will start at fly half, while centre Alan Awcock and winger Xavier Andre come in for Liam O’Neill and Jack Robinson.

In South West 1 East, Banbury bid to make it three wins in a row when they travel to Chippenham.

Oxford Harlequins make four changes up front for the visit of Royal Wootton Bassett.

Following their hard-earned 15-6 victory over Witney, George Tierney comes back at hooker, with Chris Davies switching to tight-head prop.

Luke Brown returns to the second row and Dion Taylor comes in at flanker.

Half-backs Ralph Jones and Sam Watkinson make their first starts of the season.

Witney hope to get off the mark when they visit Bicester, while Grove entertain Wimborne.
