WALLINGFORD have appointed Welsh international Owain Dolan Grey as their new lead men’s coach for the coming South League season.
Dolan Grey, who plays for National League side Reading and is a member of the Great Britain training squad, last season coached Cardiff Met to the BUCS final.
He takes over from Reading teammate Olly Deasy, an England under 21 international, who will now coach Wallingford’s women.
Club chairman David Williams said: “We are delighted to have Olly coaching our ladies.
“He is exactly the right person to take some young and exciting talent to the next level.
“The recruitment of Owain is further proof of Wallingford’s ability to attract leading coaches.”
Meanwhile, there was success for a Wallingford player on the international scene.
Angus Jones helped England Over 50s win the IMHA Euro Masters in Tilburg, Netherlands, beating Germany 3-0 in the final.
