PROLIFIC striker Ini Umotong has left Oxford United Women by mutual consent.
But in a busy day for the Women’s Super League 2 side, Wales international goalkeeper Claire Skinner joined from Aston Villa.
Umotong’s exit is a blow, as she scored 17 goals in 26 games after joining from Portsmouth in 2016.
Andy Cook, United’s first team manager, said: “Although it will be tough to lose her, I hope she continues to develop her game.
“Knowing that she wants to play at highest level possible I hope she can achieve this.
“Everyone one at the club will miss her and be disappointed she’s chosen to move on but we will move on as a club.”
Skinner bolsters the squad at the other end of the pitch.
The 20-year-old broke into the senior Wales set-up last year and is looking to develop further at United.
She said: “I’m really excited to be able to sign for Oxford and be playing in one of the best leagues in the UK.
“I feel this is a club that is really looking to progress players and to be able to push them to be as good as they can be.”
