MEMBERS of Witney & District SC are celebrating the success of Georgia Duff at the Scottish Summer National Championships.
The 15-year-old achieved a bronze medal in the 50 metre backstroke, in a time of 32.30 secs.
In so doing she smashed the club record set 15 years ago by Witney’s current head coach Chantal Clavaud.
Competing in four events, Duff reached three finals. She came sixth in the 100m backstroke (1.11.67) and eighth in the 50m butterfly (31.20).
He other event was the 50m breaststroke.
Clavaud, who is pictured alongside Duff on the podium, said: “ This is an amazing accomplishment for a small club like Witney.”
