ROMAIN Grosjean secured his fifth points-scoring finish of the Formula 1 season when coming home sixth for Banbury-based Haas in the Austrian Grand Prix.
The Frenchman, who qualified seventh, helped the north Oxfordshire team edge closer to sixth-placed Toro Rosso in the constructors’ standings.
There was no such joy for teammate Kevin Magnussen, though, as the Dane was forced to retire on lap 29 with a hydraulics issue.
Grove-based Williams recovered from a nightmare qualifying to squeeze into the top ten.
Felipe Massa and Lance Stroll started 17th and 18th respectively, but both showed strong race pace to finish ninth and tenth.
The Enstone-prepared Renault team missed out on a point by 0.5secs as Jolyon Palmer came home 11th, while Nico Hulkenberg was further down in 13th.
The race was won by former Williams driver Valtteri Bottas, of Mercedes.
