WES Bartlett slammed a career-best 181 not out to lead Oxford Downs 2nd to a massive 240-run victory at home to East Oxford in Division 3.

The opener carried his bat in a sensational knock, bringing up both his century and 150 with sixes.

Bartlett’s huge score came off 144 balls with 28 fours and five sixes.

In reply, East Oxford had no answer to Steve Roberts (5-36).

They finished on 100-9 – Amir Nawaz unable to bat after suffering a dislocated finger while keeping wicket – falling to a humiliating defeat.

Bicester & North Oxford proved too strong for basement boys Great Brickhill 2nd as they won by five wickets.

The visitors set 191-9 in their 50 overs, Drew Burrows hitting 82 not out.

But it never looked like being enough as Alastair Gibbins then struck an impressive 92 not out to lead Bicester to victory at 193-5 in the 40th over.

Horley fell to a four-wicket defeat at Cublington, despite setting a good target of 276-9.

Dave Taylor hit 102 and Dave Clark 58 in Horley’s innings, but a brilliant 131 not out off 84 balls from Ketan Patel saw Cublington to 279-6 in the 37th over.

Banbury 3rd came unstuck at Wolverton as they fell to a 106-run defeat.

The home side were bowled out for 186, Josh Hill taking 3-35 for Banbury.

But a fine spell from Idrees Butt (4-7) ensured Banbury were never in it, as they slumped to 80 all out.

SAM Cross scored a maiden league century in Division 4 as Witney Mills enjoyed a seven-wicket win at home to Tiddington 2nd.

Batting first, Tiddington posted 196 all out as Jacob Davies hit an unbeaten 101 and Ollie Burney took 4-46.

Cross then scored a superb 103 and Peter Claridge 60 to lead Mills in at 197-3 with more than 12 overs to spare.

The top-of-the-table clash at Stokenchurch ended in a draw as the home side denied Minster Lovell maximum points.

Batting first after winning the toss, Minster rattled up a huge total of 296-8 in their 53 overs, Jack Simpson hitting 67 and Connor Tinsley and James Merriman 62 apiece.

Stokenchurch lost regular wickets in their reply, although Josh Triggs (87no) and Arshad Latif (56) shone.

They eventually shut up shop to hold on for the draw at 242-9.

Thame Town 2nd raced to a nine-wicket win at home to Horspath 3rd.

Sam Lachlan (3-29) and George Patey (3-34) helped dismiss the visitors for 105, before Matt Furness (47no) and Patey (38no) led Thame home in the 17th over.

Paul Hemming took 6-44 but Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd lost by two wickets at Bletchley.

Ricardo Brown took 5-29 as Shipton were bowled out for 146 in the final over.

Hemming shone with the ball for Shipton, but the hosts edged in at 150-8.

Brackley beat basement boys Dinton 2nd by 75 runs.

Jordan Kellar (44) helped Brackley to 190-9 in their 53 overs, and then David Barnes claimed 5-41 as Dinton were bowled out for 115.

CUMNOR 2nd ended the unbeaten run of Abingdon Vale 2nd to go top of Division 5 with a 112-run victory.

Cumnor batted first and declared on 233-7 in the 52nd over, Luke Finch hitting 86 and Shravan Chinta 45.

Vale were in all sorts of trouble after a dire collapse saw them staring down the barrel at 48-7.

Their lower order battled hard in an attempt to draw, Matt Butcher top-scoring with 33, but they were bowled out in the final over of their reply.

Chris De Verteuil took 4-54 and Sam Herbert 3-26 in an exciting Cumnor victory.

Kingston Bagpuize moved up to fourth after seeing off hosts Oxford 3rd by 100 runs.

Kendal Robertson struck 57 in Kingston’s 226-9.

In reply, Oxford slumped to 126 all out as Matt Watts claimed 4-24.

fell to a two-wicket defeat at Long Marston 2nd.

Batting first, Didcot fell to 152 all out as Sam Woodruff took 6-49.

Marston struggled in their reply, but edged home at 153-8.

Cropredy 2nd were thrashed by 152 runs against visitors Leighton Buzzard 2nd.

Gareth Benger top-scored with 73 and Rhiann Krynauw hit 57 as Buzzard racked up 280-7.

Tom Pope then took 5-43 as Cropredy slumped to 128 all out.
