CARSWELL made home advantage tell when they defeated The Oxfordshire 2-1 in Section 2 of the Core Golf UK Oxfordshire Foursomes League.
In the top match, The Oxfordshire’s pair of Andy Stubbs and Nigel Lucas trounced Jason Peevers and Andy Morton 5 & 4.
But the hosts hit back as Dan Hoskin and Kevin Howe beat Peter Green and Dominic O’Rourke 3 & 2.
Then Laurie Griffiths & Darren Morton eased home 5 & 4 against Matthew Richardson and George Kent to secure Carswell their second successive win of the campaign.
OXFORD United FC are staging their annual golf day at Witney Lakes on Tuesday, July 18 with a shotgun start at 2.30pm.
