THEO Brophy-Clews helped England book their place in the semi-finals of the World U20 Championship with a dramatic 20-19 victory over Australia in Georgia.
The former Abingdon School pupil, from Wallingford, started at inside centre for the final Pool A game.
Brophy-Clews, who plays for London Irish, kicked a penalty.
But England trailed 19-17 with two minutes left, only for a Max Malins penalty to secure victory.
They face South Africa in the semifinals today.
OXFORD University’s Will Wilson featured as England finished sixth in the second leg of the 2017 Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series in Poland.
They lost by 14 points in their opener against Ireland, before beating Georgia 22-12.
However, they missed out on fifth when losing 29-26 to Germany.
