BRADLEY Smith has vowed to continue fighting after a frustrating Italian MotoGP at Mugello.

The 26-year-old, from Forest Hill, was the last rider home in 20th.

The Red Bull KTM was always likely to struggle at one of the most technical circuits on the calendar.

But Smith, who qualified 23rd, was not helped by rear brake issues during the race

He said: “We kept on working on the bike right up until the race.

“But when I started it was with a slightly different setting that took me a little too long to get the right feeling with before I started to pull in the gap to (Karel) Abraham and (Loris) Baz.

“Unfortunately, the rear brake started to give me trouble from the half way point before I then had nothing.

“For the KTM it’s crucial to make the bike work with a rear brake, so it’s a frustrating way to finish the weekend.

“Looking forward, we now move on the Catalunya in a few days time and fight on.”

Smith lies 23rd in the rider standings with six points.

The next round is at Catalunya this weekend.
