BERINSFIELD booked their place in the North Berks League Cup final after a 4-2 win against Kintbury Rangers at Sutton Courtenay, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.

They took an early lead through David Murphy, before Kintbury levelled from the penalty spot, Shaun Thorp firing home after being fouled in the box.

Berinsfield went back in front through Charlie Lee before Murphy added his second to make it 3-1.

Luke Holdsworth increased Berinsfield’s lead with No 4, and although Kintbury pulled one back in the second half through Sabeur Trabelsi, Berinsfield held on.

In the final, they will meet Saxton Rovers, who saw off Burghclere 3-0.

Tom Stanley scored twice, with Kyle Allsworth also on target.

In Division 1, Stanford in-the Vale came away from East Hendred with a 5-1 win.

Daryl Boulter and Taylor Gill bagged doubles, with Jason Pook also finding the net. Bill McDonald scored for the home side.

Dorchester could not prevent Hungerford Swifts securing the Division 2 title with a 4-2 home win.

George Smith (2), Luke Johnson and Liam Thorne netted for Swifts, with Cameron Paterson and Jordan Lyne replying.

Harry Ackland’s hat-trick plus goals from Michael Hootton and Jason Hillis helped Westminster to a 5-1 win at Hanney United, for whom Ed Hunt replied.

Division 3 champions Watlington finished their season with a 4-3 defeat away to Saxton Rovers Res.

Niall Hodgkins hit a hat-trick and Dale Truby netted Saxton’s fourth, while Watlington replied through Ben Little, William Wright and Adam Holloway.

Drayton claimed their fourth Division 4 win on the trot and moved up to third place with a 1-0 success at Long Wittenham Res.

Gareth Small scored the only goal of the game.

Lambourn Res also maintained their winning form with a 3-0 win over North Oxford Res.

Damian Harris scored twice with Eddie Annetts also on target.

In Division 5, Grove Rangers Res maintained their 100 per cent record with a 7-0 win over Uffington United Res.

Jamie Dutton led the way with a four-timer, while Matt Hammond, Arran Coley and Luke Alder were also on target.

James Madge and Tom Faulkner both bagged hat-tricks to help Marcham Res to a thumping 8-2 victory at home to Didcot Eagles.

Chris Shahab and Rhys Blatherwick also found the net, while Dan Osborne scored twice for Didcot.
