OXFORDSHIRE will be looking for a big victory against basement team Kent this weekend to get back into the promotion picture in Division 1 of the BDO Inter-Counties Championship.

In their penultimate match of the campaign, Oxon will be keen to shine in front of their support at the Bicester Ex-Services and Families Club, Sheep Street.

The B team matches start at noon on Saturday, with the A team clashes scheduled for 11am on Sunday.

  • GEORGE Lounge A encountered some tense moments before clinching the Men’s Section 3 title in the Greene King ODDA Winter League.

In their final match away to Donnington Community Centre B, George took a 3-1 lead thanks to Danny Jones – his 13th win of the season – Martin Atherton and Carl Church.
Chris Tarrant added to the hosts’ earlier win from Darren Moss to make it 3-2.
Keith Ballard put George one win away from the title, which was achieved with a 5-4 success despite a 2-1 defeat in the pairs. 
There was a ding-dong battle between between leaders Six Bells A Kidlington and Six Bells Headington to decide the Ladies Section  3 title.
Although they won 5-4, Headington had to settle for the runners-up spot behind their hosts.
Tash Nash completed a perfect record of 14 wins to help Masons Arms win the Section 5 title despite a 5-4 defeat to the Vikings Social Club.
