MIC Bennett’s dominance of the Seniors Cup in Gentworks Oxford & District Snooker League came to end when he lost to Simon Painter in the final at Littlemore RBL.
Painter, playing off a +30 handicap, won 2-0 against scratch player Bennett to become the first holder of the Ken Olive Seniors Cup.
It’s predecessor – the Ted Allsop Trophy – was handed in perpetuity to Bennett.

l PAUL Robinson produced a break of 61 to help Fieldside defeat Abingdon Conservative A 4-3 in the semi-finals of Gentworks Oxford & District Billiards League’s Atox Cup.
The teams were level at 3-3 as Robinson won twice for Fieldside, who went through 399-347 on aggregate.
In the final, they will play Oxford Bowls B after a 3-2 win over Littlemore RBL.
