Our weekly column with Oxford United’s managing director Greig Box Turnbull on the latest news from in and around club

WE HAVE ramped up our Wembley marketing this week, as we count down towards the cup final.

Ticket sales have been strong and it is all set to be a fantastic occasion.

We released an emotional promotional video that had several staff in tears and have got out into the county’s market towns to spread the message with a poster campaign.

Please encourage family and friends to join us at Wembley on April 2. It’s a perfect day to show our pride in Oxfordshire – don’t miss out!

Everyone’s thoughts have been with terminally ill United fan, Steve Dyer, this week, after the news broke that his condition has deteriorated.

His strength and courage is an example to us all and the way the United family have pulled together to support the Dyers epitomises what the club is all about.

We felt it was fitting to add Steve to the United squad list for the rest of the season, as our 12th Man.

Sadly, as was announced this week, I will step down as MD at the end of the season.

I’ve simply been a custodian of the club and when I leave in May, I’ll take enormous pride in leaving United in a better place.

Each year the club can get stronger.

Employees come and go, but as a fan I will always be a part of the club.

The most important thing is Oxford United and ensuring it is here for future generations to enjoy. COYY.
