KARL Walker led Abingdon Conservative A to a 4-1 victory over Oracle A in the final of the Gentworks Oxford & District Snooker League’s Simonds Cup.
Walker won both games against Peter Machonochie. Abingdon’s other wins came from John Hawkins and and Mic Bennett.
There was a thrilling finish in the Sherlock Cup final as East Oxford Conservative B edged out Q Zone D 4-3.
East Oxford clinched the title 339-263 on aggegate after the teams had tied 3-3.

l ABINGDON Conservative A reached the final of the Gentworks Oxford & District Billiards League’s Stephen Reiss Cup, beating Eynsham by the narrowest of margins.
Despite losing two of the three games, Abingdon edged home 3-2, thanks to a 549-546 aggregate victory, which is worth two points.
In the final they will face Thame, who beat Littlemore RBL 4-1, despite a break of 60 for the losers by Lewis Moss.
