ABINGDON duo Luke Backley (right) and Jonathan Horton scooped three medals between them at the West Midlands U17 Bronze tournament in Birmingham.
Backley won bronze in the singles, before teaming up with Horton for silver in the boys’ doubles.
Oxfordshire’s under 14 side drew 10-10 with Buckinghamshire in the Shires League at Bartholomew School, Eynsham.
Albie Marriott (Didcot), Harry Jones (Banbury) Alfie Luo (Abingdon), David Haar (Witney), Holly Craig (Sutton Courtenay), Rebecca Norkett (Drayton), Hannah Jones (Oxford) and Catherine Cousins (Bicester) were selected.
The under 18 team lost 11-9 to a Bucks side, which included four England players.
Oxon’s squad consisted of Ethan Rose (Oakley), Christian Mitchell (Woodstock), Kaylan Jensen (Holton), Jamie Cackett, James Moreton-Smith (both Abingdon), Natalia Mitchell (Woodstock), Maisie Boyd (Chalgrove), Maisie Marriott (Didcot) and Bronwynn Ready (Long Wittenham).
