TODD Stanmore marked himself as a future star with a sensational clean sweep of the three boys singles titles in the Oxford City junior tournament at Kidlington Forum.

At just 11 years 3 months, Stanmore is still eligible for the under 11 event in the forthcoming English Schools Championships and should be a strong contender.

Kiarash Shaddel, 14, was his opponent in the under 16 and under 18 finals, after Stanmore, who plays for Moreton in the Didcot League, had beaten Dylan Morgan to lift the under 14 crown.

Stanmore’s closest games came in the under 18 group stages, when he won in the fourth against Bertie Anstis and then came from two sets down to beat Shaddel.

When they met in two finals, Stanmore defeated Shaddel in straight sets.

Pelin Karabulut repeated her victory of 2016 in the graded singles final, with a tight 21-20, 21-20 win over James Williams.

In the handicap doubles, there was success for Morgan and Toby Dow, who overcame Saqib Hussain and Lewis Waddup 12-10 in a dramatic five-setter.
