OXFORD United’s hopes of getting a result at Rochdale this afternoon are boosted by the suspension of centre back Keith Keane.
The defender joined initially on loan from Cambridge United in August, but the move was made permanent earlier this month.
Rochdale have won 14 of 18 games Keane has started, but only six of 18 without him, so his red card in the 2-1 defeat at Southend United a week ago is a blow.
United’s only slight concern was over Marvin Johnson, who missed training earlier this week with a sore foot sustained in the 2-1 loss at AFC Wimbledon.
But he should have made a full recovery to be available for selection this afternoon.
