ROB Hall is confident he will go on to find an extra level after completing his first 90 minutes for almost a year.

The Oxford United winger returned from a serious knee injury in November, but it took until Tuesday’s 4-1 win against Scunthorpe United for him to last a full game.

It was something he had not managed since last February, when playing for Milton Keynes Dons at Derby County.

An incisive dribble led to Hall being fouled for a penalty against Scunthorpe, but the good news is the 23-year-old, who is preparing for tomorrow’s trip to AFC Wimbledon, believes there is plenty more to come.

He said: “I’m not 100 per cent because I don’t think anyone is – there’s always a niggle or a bit of tightness.

“I feel like everyone has another gear in them.

“I’m not as sharp as I used to be, but I am getting there.

“It’s just my thinking, being in the right positions.

“There are times when I’m way out of position, but I put that down to tiredness.

“Sometimes I’ve been dribbling and I’ve thought ‘I shouldn’t have been tackled there’.

“I’m slowly getting back to how I used to be.

“I just like that I’ve stayed in the team and I’ve kept my momentum going and I finally managed to last a whole game.”

After cup wins against Rotherham United and Scunthorpe in the last week, it is back to Sky Bet League One action this weekend.

Hall was still recovering from his injury when the Dons visited the Kassam Stadium in October.

In a game broadcast live on television, a ragged United went 3-0 behind in the first half and lost 3-1.

“When we played them at our place I was sat upstairs and saw it was very physical,” Hall said.

“The lads knew all about Wimbledon, but on the day it didn’t go our way and they scored three quick goals.

“I think if we stick to our game plan we can do it better at their place.

“If we are anywhere near the performance levels we’ve had of late then we should come out on top.”

Hall is hoping to make an impact at Kingsmeadow, but is aware having had three separate loan spells at MK Dons he could come in for extra attention from the home fans.

He said: “I never played against them so maybe I will slip under the radar.

“Hopefully we just quietly get in, get the three points and come home.”
