PUPILS at Windrush Valley School, in Ascott-under-Wychwood, are celebrating after winning the team event at the British Schools Regional Championships.
The independent preparatory school entered six individuals and one team of four into the competition at the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre in Abingdon.
In the individual event, Rosa Pemberton, aged nine, came third in the under 11 girls novice section.
Her teammates Isabella Guest and Saskia James finished ninth and tenth out of the 60 competitors.
The team’s combined score of 142.1 points placed them first place against eight other schools, earning them a place in the zonal round of the at Taunton in the New Year.
All the girls in the team train with the Higher Energy Trampolining Club, based in Oxfordshire.
The members of the winning team were Pemberton, Hattie Maudsley, Guest and James, while Emily Rich and Ellie Carpenter also took part in the individual competition.
