OXFORD University winger Tom Stileman cannot wait to set foot on the hallowed turf of Twickenham again today.

The 20-year-old made quite an impression on his Varsity Match debut 12 months ago.

A number of big hits and carries earned Stileman the man-of-the-match award as the Dark Blues beat Cambridge University 12-6.

The former Cranleigh School pupil is set for his second Blue this afternoon and the memories of 2015 still hold a special place in his heart.

“Last year was great,” said Stileman, who is studying earth sciences at St Peter’s College.

“It was an awesome experience, great to be able to share it with the team who had gone through a season together and that (the man-of-the-match award) was a fantastic way to top it off.

“It was great, but we’re looking forward to this year.”

The Dark Blues are going for an unprecedented seventh victory in a row.

But Stileman says the pressure is no different to that of a year ago when a historic sixth successive win was at stake.

He added: “We have been trying not to fixate on it too much, just looking ahead to the performance.

“The pressure is on, as it is every year.”
