SUMMERTOWN Stars came from 2-0 down to beat visitors Tower Hill 4-3 in a classic Under 14 League match.

Goals from Sofia Mori and Faye Megarity brought it back to 2-2 at half-time before second-half strikes from Mori and Olivia Thacker clinched the game for Stars. Sinead Newman netted twice for the leaders.

Oxford City suffered their first home defeat of the season, when losing 2-0 to Carterton, whose goals came from Ellie Hawken and Courtney Lusmore.

Quarry Rovers drew 1-1 at home to Barton United in a tight match.

Tia-Mai Herbert put Quarry ahead at half-time, but Barton came back strongly in the second half to equalise through Letisha Kabwebwe.

A brilliant second-half display gave Abingdon a 5-1 success away to Stonesfield Strikers.

It was 1-1 at half-time, Stonesfield having taking the lead through Pippa Patterson, but the visitors ran away with it, their goals coming from Farah Khan (2), Emily Prior, Jevon Brown and Ruby Colleton.

After a goalless first half, Abingdon defeated Charlbury 2-1 in the Under 13 Blue League with goals from Chloe Lattimore and Hannah Wernham, whose winner came four minutes from time.

Benson United twice trailed before coming back to draw 2-2 at home to Crowmarsh.

Poppy Bridgman and Grace Carrigan scored for Crowmarsh, but Georgie Davis and Mia Fulbrook – with an audacious lob – rescued a point for the hosts.

Kidlington had to resist a second-half comeback before winning 4-3 at home to Summertown Stars White in the Red League.

Brooke Eagle and Natasha Pegden put Kidlington 2-0 ahead at the break.

The visitors rallied after the break thanks to goals from Leschea Guiste (2) and Aisha Hornbur.

However, further goals from Eagle and Grace Barnett saw the hosts home.

Anna Hamerow scored twice and Charlotte Evans grabbed the other goal as Summertown Stars Red edged out Grove 3-2 at Five Mile Drive.

Rose Kent and Amelia Turner netted for Grove.

A hat-trick from Lily Harries, two goals from Billie French and further efforts from from Elizabeth Wotherspoon and Ellie Bradbury sealed a convincing 7-0 win for Oxford City at Tower Hill.

Fiona Baker struck four times as Kidlington won 8-4 at home to Stonesfield Strikers in an entertaining Under 12 League Cup tie.

Phoebe Pipkin (2), Faith Toon and Lee Hague also scored as the hosts raced into a big lead.

To their credit, Stonesfield never gave up and were rewarded by a brace from Issy Todeschini and two own goals late on.

Quarry Rovers raced to a 7-1 win at home to Launton with goals from Katherine Niland (2), Keeley Spencer (2), Freya Garton, Xana Sved and Nell Brown. Lillee Clifton replied.

Kayleigh Tubb’s hat-trick spurred Oxford City to a 5-0 win at Summertown Stars Red. Daisy Harris and georgia Healey also found the net.

Tower Hill edged past Summertown Shooting Stars 3-1 with goals from Emily Hoare (2) and Sophie Taylor.

Stars’ reply came from an own goal.

Hermione Prescott led the way with four goals as Headington won 8-1 at Wantage.

Bethany Chapman (2), Ella Milne and Alyssia Tierney also found the net for Headington, with Orla Forrester scoring the sole reply.
