EDDIE Pepperell is in serious danger of losing his PGA European Tour card after a disastrous second round in the Portugal Masters yesterday.

The Abingdon professional drove out of bounds at the last hole for a double-bogey and a five-over-par round of 76 to miss the halfway cut on a day of low scoring.

This was despite starting in second spot following a superb seven-under-par 64 on Thursday.

Pepperell began the tournament right on the borderline to keep his card and will be hoping to be in the field for the Turkish Airlines Airlines Open in two weeks, to have another chance of retaining his Tour status.
