MATTHEW Saunders hit four goals as Long Wittenham Athletic crushed Sutton Courtenay 5-0 to stay top of Group B, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.

Saunders ran riot as Athletic chalked up a second big win in the North Berks League’s Charity Shield, with Steve Molloy also on target.

Unbeaten Berinsfield set up a decider for top spot with a 4-1 home victory over Dorchester.

David Murphy scored twice alongside efforts from Shane Harris and Luke Holdsworth, with George Kay scoring Dorchester’s consolation.

Westminster went top of Group D with a fine 5-2 home win over Hanney United.

Dave Humphreys, Mike Hooton, Dan Hill, Jason Hillis and Tom Srawley struck to maintain Westminster’s perfect record in the competition, with James Bishop netting twice in vain for United.

Saxton Rovers thumped East Hendred 5-0 to seize top spot in Group C, thanks to a Daniel Cox double and Tom Stanley, Jack Smith and Lydon Szabo goals.

Ryan Macer struck twice as North Oxford won 4-1 at Steventon, with Dale Cameron grabbing a penalty and Jack Hinkin netting the fourth.

Dave Johns bagged Steventon’s consolation.

In Division 3, Watlington Town moved level on points with leaders Ardington & Lockinge with a 3-1 victory over Wallingford Town Res.

Conor Blayachi, Edgar Garces and Tom King registered for Watlington, while Wayne Mangan scored for the visitors.

Uffington United collected their first points of the season with a 4-2 win at Grove Rangers.

Eddie Everett, Joshua Jefferies, James Capper and Tom Marshall netted for United, with Dave Sumersbee and Jamie Dutton on target for Rangers.

Drayton came back from behind to win 6-3 at home to Hungerford Town Swifts Res in Division 4.

Lloyd Ponsford, Josh Metcalf and Dee Rowswell goals had put Swifts in charge.

But a Richard Chilvers hat-trick and further efforts from Lewis Collacot, Conner Powell and Tom Smith handed Drayton the points.
