SONIO Gomes made it a baptism of fire for Oxford City FA newcomers Headington Butchers on Saturday.
Gomes struck a hattrick to help visitors East Oxford to a 5-0 victory, with their other goals coming from Dan Fern and Mustafa Mohammed.
Masons Arms came back from 2-0 to win 3-2 at Thame United Churches.
An unstoppable 25-yard free-kick from Steve Slatter put Churches in front and Matt Stanbury made it 2-0 from the penalty spot.
It was not until the last 20 minutes that Masons reduced the deficit through Jacob Minton, before Tim Small levelled matters with a penalty.
Thame were holding on for a draw, before Jonnie Green fired in a late winner for Masons.
James Cunning netted the only goal to give Union Street a 1-0 success away to Lusitanos.
