FLY half Tom Miles kicked 19 points as Bicester beat Thatcham 29-15 in a hard-fought Southern Counties North clash.

The visitors opened the scoring, with Ash Taylor driving over for an unconverted try.

But the hosts hit back as Peter Tarrega raced to the line and Miles converted to make it 7-5.

The half-back and Thatcham’s Callum Stewart exchanged penalties.

And Miles’s good day with the boot continued as he slotted a further three to make it 19-8.

Dave Hampton then dived over, with Miles adding the extras.

Thatcham stormed back as Taylor was driven over and Dan Shaunessy converted.

But Bicester were not finished as Miles kicked another penalty.

Gosford All Blacks lost 32-13 at home to Marlow.

Two Tim Ellis penalties helped them into a 6-0 lead.

The visitors hit back and led 8-6, thanks to Martin Correy’s unconverted try and penalty.

Marlow extended their lead as Will Fulton’s high kick bounced kindly for George Jagon to dot down. Correy added the extras.

Fulton then crossed for the visitors, with Correy converting.

Marlow’s Howard Mears and Sean Richardson crossed for unconverted tries to make it 32-6.

Gosford replied in the dying minutes when Dan Hughes forced his way over and Ellis added the extras.

Wallingford were beaten 15-10 by High Wycombe.
