CHRIS Wilder says there is no hiding place for his Sheffield United players ahead of a “massive” game at home to Oxford United tomorrow.

The Blades went into their sixth successive season in the third tier as favourites to win the title.

But they go into the clash with the U’s at Bramall Lane propping up Sky Bet League One with only a single point from four games.

Wilder, who left United after five years in charge in 2014 and guided Northampton Town to the League Two title last season, knows much more is expected.

“I don’t like losing games and I don’t like where we are in the table,” Wilder told the Sheffield Star.

“We’ll need the help of the supporters for a massive game this weekend, because a few boys are struggling at the moment.

“They’re decent players – history shows that, and that’s why they’re at this football club – but they’re just having a bit of a struggle at the minute.

“There’s no hiding place for us. It’s a massive game, and we need to go and get that win.”

The Blades squad includes former United captain Jake Wright, who is awaiting his first appearance after making the switch to Yorkshire last month.
