Lucy Millington and Miriam Pritchard with their bronze medals
OXFORD Hawks players Lucy Millington and Miriam Pritchard helped England Under 18s win a bronze medal at the European Championship in Cork.
Millington, from Bartholomew School, Eynsham, was the top scorer in the tournament, while Pritchard (Cherwell School)played a big part in England winning the penalty shoot-out against Belgium after a 2-2 draw to secure third place.
Also part of the squad was Elisha Evans, who grew up playing at Oxford Hawks.
l WALLINGFORD HC are holding their club day, as part of England Hockey’s Hockeyfest, at the Hithercroft on Sunday, September 4, from 12.30pm.
