KATIE Franks claimed three titles at the 11th Tae Kwon-Do International World Championships in Birmingham.

The Wantage & Didcot TAGBT student and assistant instructor also won bronze in the ladies black belt tag team.

Franks dominated the black belt light heavyweight point stop division to claim her first world title.

Her second triumph followed a day later in the black belt light heavyweight continuous division, when she secured a clear decision in the final.

She claimed a third gold in the international team event, representing England.

Instructor, Martyn Dipper, said: “I’m very pleased with Katie’s performance.

“She’s trained incredibly hard leading up to this event.

“She had a superb weekend.”
