ANDY Harris has his fingers crossed Great & Little Tew can keep their fine home record intact when Slough visit in Division 1 tomorrow.

The west Oxfordshire side are unbeaten at Ledwell Road during their first year in the top flight of the Home Counties Premier League.

After an important first away victory of the season at struggling Reading last weekend, Harris is able to call upon an unchanged side.

And he hopes that in itself will breed confidence as they head back to familiar surroundings.

He said: “Being hard to beat at home, that is what we have been focusing on.

“We want to pick up as many points as we can in our home games.”

Harris added: “We are bowling really well as a unit so it is important to keep that together.

“Batting wise, we are starting to get good performances and consistency is always important in a winning team.”

Banbury welcome back opener Hugo Darby for their home encounter against Burnham.

The north Oxfordshire outfit, who are third in the table, played out an exciting draw with leaders Finchampstead last Saturday.

Darby was unavailable six days ago, but did star for Oxfordshire in their defeat to Herefordshire in the Unicorns Counties Championship.

The 22-year-old hammered 166 on the first day, before hitting 67 in the second innings and Banbury captain Lloyd Sabin hopes he can take that form into this weekend.

He said: “Hugo played really well for county in the three-day format so hopefully that can transfer into the one-day game.”

Darby replaces Ed Phillips in the side, while Luke Ryan is fit to play despite suffering an injury while bowling against Finchampstead.
