LAWRENCE Clarke and Nathan Douglas have been named in the Great Britain team for next week's European Championships in Amsterdam.
The Oxfordshire duo are part of a 98-strong team for the five-day event, which begins on Wednesday, July 6.
Both athletes competed in the British Championships at the weekend, with Clarke, who hails from Christmas Common, near Watlington, qualifying for this summer's Rio Olympics by finishing second in the 110m hurdles final yesterday.
Douglas, a former European silver medallist, won the triple jump on Saturday to be crowned British champion for the first time since 2007.
Selection for the championships offers the Oxford City athlete an opportunity to jump the Olympic qualifying standard of 16.85m once more to make certain of his place on the plane for Rio.
