EDDIE Pepperell missed his third successive halfway cut on the European Tour when he shot a a three-over par 75 in the BMW International Open in Germany yesterday.
The Abingdon golfer fired six birdies in his second round, but he paid dearly for mistakes with a triple-bogey, double-bogey and four bogeys.
The triple-bogey seven came at the ninth – his final hole – when he was in contention to make the cut.
Coming after a level par 72, Pepperell finished on 147, with the cut coming at 143.
France’s Raphael Jacquelin, Henrik Stenson, of Sweden, and Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat led on 133.
